Privacy
Privacy is part of the circle.
A dream is intimate. Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle keeps its passage narrow, holds it to the standard the material deserves, and uses it only to prepare the translation that returns to the dreamer.
In plain terms
- When the dream intake opens, your dream will travel through a secure provider operating under a signed Business Associate Agreement into Daniel’s properly configured Google Workspace. It is not stored on this website, and there is no database behind it.
- Daniel reads your dream and is responsible for every translation that returns to you. Any AI assistance is used only through a provider and configuration covered for this material; until that is in place, your dream is not sent to an AI tool.
- You can ask Daniel to delete your dream at any time.
- The general contact form and circle mailing list are for questions and sign-ups only — never send a dream or health details there.
- Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle never sells dream content or contact details, and never uses them for advertising.
First, a clear boundary
This is a working draft.
This page is a reasonable starting point for legal review. It is not legal advice, it is not Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle’s final Privacy Policy, and it should not be published as final until a qualified New York attorney has reviewed the practice, the vendors, the data flow, and the retention schedule.
What is collected
Only what the work needs.
Contact details
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle collects the name, email address, and other contact details a dreamer chooses to provide. These details are used to communicate about the submission and deliver the finished translation.
The submitted dream
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle collects the dream itself and any context the dreamer chooses to include with it, including the optional birth details offered for astrological readings. A dream may contain deeply personal material, so Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle handles it as sensitive information and holds it to a higher standard than the law strictly requires of a service of this kind.
Dreamers should not place a dream, health details, or other sensitive material in the general contact form. Dreams belong in the dream request.
How a submitted dream will reach Daniel
A short road, plainly described.
In this prototype, the dream form is not yet operational. Nothing is submitted or sent, and the intake provider has not yet been selected and configured. What follows is the model Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle intends, described so it can be reviewed; the specific provider and the retention schedule are settled with Daniel and confirmed before the form goes live.
When the intake opens, a dream submitted through the request form will travel over an encrypted connection to a selected intake provider operating under a signed Business Associate Agreement for this material. That provider will deliver it into Daniel’s properly configured Google Workspace, covered by his Business Associate Agreement with Google for the applicable services, where he reads it.
The dream is not stored on this website. There is no Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle database, no account to create, and no archive of submissions held here — the website hands the dream to the intake provider and keeps no copy.
How long a dream is kept is governed by the intake provider’s and Workspace’s retention settings, configured with Daniel; the retention section below explains this and how to ask for deletion.
Who will process what
A few outside services, each with one job.
As the site becomes operational, a small number of tasks will be handled by outside services rather than by this website. None of them is connected in this prototype.
- Dream submissions and clinical consultation requests. Both will go through an intake provider operating under a signed Business Associate Agreement, delivered into Daniel’s properly configured Google Workspace. Daniel has chosen to hold this material to the same protected standard whether or not a given request is clinical.
- Scheduling the introductory conversation. A scheduling provider (Cal.com) processes only the name, email, and timezone needed to book a brief, nonclinical introductory call. It is not used for dream material or health information.
- General questions. The contact form goes to a separate Google Form in Daniel’s Workspace, kept apart from the dream and consultation forms. This channel is for questions only and never carries dreams or health information; the form says so plainly.
- The circle mailing list. Sign-ups use an email service (Resend) to reach Daniel’s Workspace and to send the confirmation email. It collects a name and email address only and never carries dreams or health information.
- Understanding how the site is used. A privacy-focused analytics service (PostHog, US region) counts page visits and where visitors arrived from, so Daniel can tell which writing is reaching people. It is configured to store nothing at all on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no identifier that follows you between visits. It never records your screen, never captures what you type, and honours the Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track signals if your browser sends one. It is absent entirely from the dream form, the consultation request, the contact form, and their confirmation pages, which carry no analytics of any kind.
The Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle website and its content system do not receive the contents of those embedded forms. When a form is filled in, the information goes to the provider that runs it, not to this site.
Attorney review point. This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device. The one exception is the scheduling window on the booking pages: it is provided by Cal.com and loads within its own frame, so any storage it sets is its own and governed by its privacy policy, not by this one. Counsel should confirm how that boundary is best described, and whether any consent notice is required for visitors outside the United States.
Final vendor names and links to their privacy terms are added here only once each service is selected and its account is configured. Until then, this section describes the intended arrangement rather than a live one.
How it is used
For the translation, and nothing else.
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle uses the submitted dream only to prepare the dreamer’s written translation. Daniel personally reads the dream, reviews and edits the translation, and signs the work that returns to the dreamer.
Contact details are used only to manage the request, communicate about the service, and deliver the translation. Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle does not use dream content for advertising, audience profiling, public examples, or unrelated research.
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle never sells personal information
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle does not sell, rent, trade, or license dream content or contact details. Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle does not share them with data brokers or advertising networks.
Who can access it
A narrow circle, with human responsibility.
Daniel reads the submitted dream and is responsible for the translation that returns to the dreamer. No one else at Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle reads it. The BAA-backed intake provider that carries it processes it only to deliver it, under a signed Business Associate Agreement, and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
Clear disclosure of AI assistance
Daniel may use AI assistance to prepare a first-pass draft only through a provider, organization, and technical configuration approved for the submitted material and covered by the applicable written agreement. Until that configuration is verified, identifiable dream or health information is not submitted to an AI provider. AI does not determine what a dream means, communicate directly with a dreamer, or produce the final translation. Daniel reads the original dream, reviews and changes any draft, and signs the work that returns to the dreamer. The dreamer remains the final authority on what rings true.
Attorney review point. Counsel should confirm the AI configuration — provider, organization, authentication, and written agreement — before any identifiable dream material is processed by an AI tool, and this section should be revisited whenever that configuration changes.
Security
Care must have a structure.
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle uses or requires safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of dream content, including:
- a signed Business Associate Agreement with the intake provider that carries dream content, and Daniel’s Business Associate Agreement with Google for the Workspace services used to receive and hold dream material;
- encryption in transit, and encryption at rest in the BAA-covered vessel where the dream comes to rest;
- dream submissions delivered into a properly configured, BAA-covered Workspace, separate from ordinary correspondence;
- access limited to Daniel, with multi-factor authentication on the account that holds dreams;
- no dream text in the general contact form, website analytics, or any advertising tool;
- vendor review and a process for responding to a suspected breach.
No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure. If Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle learns of an incident affecting a dreamer’s information, Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle will investigate and provide notice as required by applicable law.
The legal floor, not the ceiling
Protection does not begin and end with HIPAA.
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle is not a clinical service, and using it does not make you Daniel’s patient. Daniel is a licensed psychoanalyst, and he keeps that practice separate from this one by design. A dream brought to Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle does not enter a clinical record, and the nonclinical service is not itself a HIPAA-covered entity. Even so, because dream material deserves the highest care, Daniel has chosen to route it through BAA-backed infrastructure — the intake provider and his properly configured Google Workspace, covered by his Business Associate Agreement with Google — rather than hold it to any lesser standard.
That separation is a boundary, not a lowering of the standard. Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle honors New York privacy and security requirements, including the SHIELD Act where applicable, and applicable Federal Trade Commission health-data rules, including the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule where applicable. These laws may require reasonable safeguards and notice after certain breaches.
Attorney review point. Counsel should confirm the consumer-service structure, the wall between Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle and Daniel’s clinical practice, and exactly which requirements apply to the service and its providers, including whether any dreamer who is also a patient changes the analysis.
Retention and choice
Kept only as long as the work needs.
This is the part most worth reading plainly. A dream is held within the BAA-covered intake provider and Daniel’s Workspace, under retention settings configured with Daniel. It is kept only as long as the work and his professional obligations require, and you can ask him to delete it.
Daniel’s practice is to keep a dream only as long as the work and his professional obligations require. Contact records are kept only as long as needed for service, legal, and recordkeeping purposes.
You can ask him to delete your dream at any time, and he will, subject to any obligation that requires him to keep a record.
Attorney review point. The final policy must state a specific retention period once Daniel confirms his professional-record obligations and the intake provider’s and Workspace’s retention and deletion controls are configured.
The dreamer’s rights
Subject to applicable law and professional obligations, a dreamer may ask Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle to:
- confirm whether Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle holds the dreamer’s information;
- provide access to or a copy of that information;
- correct inaccurate contact information;
- delete dream content or other personal information;
- explain which providers processed the submission; or
- withdraw a request before the translation is completed.
Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle may need to verify the requestor’s identity and may retain limited information where law or professional duties require it. If a request cannot be honored, Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle will explain why.
Questions and requests
Write to the circle.
For a privacy question, a rights request, or a concern about how information was handled, use the Yoga Alchemy Dream Circle contact page and begin the message with “Privacy.” Do not include a dream or health details in that message.
